Today was Cooper's Karate Graduation! He has been taking Karate and LOVES it! I am sad that the next session is full. We will have to sign up again for the class in January. The teachers (a husband and wife) were great and they taught a lot more than Karate. They taught safety and respect also. Here is what the kids have to say in the beginning of class and at the end. "I promise to be a good person. Knowledge of the mind. Honesty in the heart. Strength in the body. To make good friends and to be a black belt sir." There were some other good sayings they had the kids repeat. One that I remember is ,"The goal I set is the goal I get". I also liked that Cooper had to say "yes sir and yes mam". I tried to have him say "yes mam" to me at home but instead he says "no mam"! STINKER!

That is so awesome! We had Blake in karate for a couple of years. It was so good for him with school. When he was little he had a bit of a hard time focusing and concentrating. His kindergarten teacher recommended something that would let him use his whole body but encourage him to be disciplined and focus. SO karate is what we came up with and he loved it and it really helped! By the end of first grade he was doing awesome in school and was able to focus and concentrate.
It looks like Disneyland was fun. Glad to hear that but sorry to hear about the FLU at your house man the sucks. I don't think putting bowls on their beds is dumb at all I think it shows you are one smart mom. Something we started doing was putting the grocery plastic bags inside the bowls (i usually double the grocery bags for more support). That way when they throw up in the bowl we can just take the plastic grocery bag and tie it up and put it in the trash outside. Then we don't even have to mess with cleaning the throw up out of the bowl. (Yes we still wash the bowl but we don't have to mess with the throw up.)
Everyone probably does that but I had never done that until I saw a friend of mine do it and I thought it was a genious of an idea.
Well I hope everyone feels better.

Oh, Cooper looks way cute. Karate, that actually might be good for Ella, she could use a little "yes sir, yes mam" Thanks for the idea.
Cooper, you little cutie patutie!!! I'll have to show him a few of my karate moves sometime. I'm pretty much a black belt :)
