Where to begin.....

I guess I will start in order:
Last Thursday we went to California. We went to Disneyland and California Adventure. On Friday our nephew Beau and niece Melia meet us there. We had a great time with them! I left CA Adventure early on Friday with Colby to go to my Mom's. We got to spend time with Holly, Brad and their new baby Grady. MEP washed my feet that night (thanks to a stinky ankle brace), I think that counted for MEP's service for the month! Saturday was Holly's shower. While I was at the shower Dan and his nephew Beau took the boys to Moorpark to see his family. I had a great time at the shower seeing lots of people I have not seen forever. It was also nice to spend time with Holly- I cant remember the last time we spent time alone together. I wish we lived closer! Saturday night Dan and the boys came back to Newport Beach and we had dinner with my family. We all had a good time, I think. Well, maybe not MEP- she got beat on Wii bowling by Dan. Sunday we went to Disneyland for a little bit. It was so busy! We left and went to my parents for dinner before driving home. This is when MEP redeemed herself and beat Dan. We arrived home a little before midnight and found our Pepper girl (dog) dead. We have (or had) two dogs- Tipper and Pepper. We have had them for 11 years. Pepper has been sick for a while and we have known that she probably would die soon. Anyway, so that night Dan dug a hole in the backyard to bury her. Spotlight on and shoveling away, I wonder what our neighbors thought! Dan said that was the sickest thing he has ever had to do. I will spare you all the details but it was pretty bad. We are gonna miss Pepper- she was my first baby and let me tell you having a brand new puppy is a lot like a newborn.
Anyway, Dan finished with all the shoveling and cleaning up around 2am and our other Dog Tipper kept us up all night with his howling/crying.
It has been so sad to watch him, although last night was much better. Yesterday during the day Tipper would start howling and Cooper would go out to be with him. One time I even found him out there sitting on the dog bed with Tipper trying to read him a book "Froggy Goes to School". It was so cute, I wish I had my camera! Last night we said goodbye to some friends in the ward. The Clayton family is moving :( Cooper and Eli always played good together- we are going to miss them! Thank goodness for Blogs! Ok, so today I go to weigh in- yikes! Yes, I gained 3 pounds! Thanks to vacation and not being able to exercise. I am not devestated. This week hopefully will be better! :)
