Colby was born July 2, 2007. Although he was a little stinker in Labor and required me to have a C-Section he turned out to be our easiest baby so far. He has always been so loving- not just to me but to everyone.

Easter 2009. This is about the time that Colby discovered it is best to pinch and bite people when they are ticking you off . Even though he does this he is still a sweet boy that can beat the crap out of any of his three older brothers!!
Colby shared Riley's birthday yesterday because Dan left for Youth Conference today. Thanks Riley for sharing your party with Colby!

Today for his birthday we went to the new water park that opened. Even though he still uses his binky he can talk really well. 
Even though we will be having a new baby by the end of this month (hopefully) Colby will always be my baby. Up until I got pregnant I thought of Colby as our last and really made an effort to document everything he did and really enjoy him as a baby (which was easy to do because he was SOOOO good). I am excited to have a new baby on the way but in a way I am kind of sad for Colby. Does that make sense?? He is not going to be the center of attention anymore and he is going to have to do a lot of growing up. I do my best to not scar my children for life when a new baby comes by letting them be involved and spending time alone with them, harder to do when you have lots of kids but hopefully none of them have been scarred too bad! Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLBY SHAWN KING!!! WE LOVE YOU!

Julianne- I remember thinking those same things when our kids were born, but as you know, a mom has an amazing capacity to love each one of her kids more than she ever imagined! And, because of his sweet personality, everyone that loves Colby and gives him attention will still do so because of who he his! We're so excited for you guys and Happy Birthday, Colby!!!

What a little cutie pie! I find it hard to believe with a face like that that he could ever pinch or bite:) He is a cutie!
I remember feeling kind of sad for both of my boys when another sibling came along. I felt bad for Blake because he was A#1 in our little world. I was so worried that when Conner came that he'd feel like we didn't love him anymore. But I don't think he ever felt that way. Then when Brilynn came along I felt so sorry for Conner because he was so cheated out of getting to be the baby. (They aren't even quite 13 mon. apart.) But actually he was so young when she came along he doesn't remember life without her. Kids adjust. Their troopers.
You are an awesome Mom. All your kids are adorable. I'm looking forward to seeing baby #5!
