My baby can sit up, even crawl- kind of a weird crawl but still he is moving, eating cereal, and teething like crazy! He is in 6-12 month clothes, last week he almost weighed 20 pounds! I gave my sister back all the "baby" clothes. He does not need his bath seat anymore so that is gone too. It is just weird knowing that I wont EVER need these things again. Don't get me wrong, I am happy (and a little sad) about it. Mostly I am just happy that he is here and doing well. This week he went to the Neurologist and she said it is just amazing at how well he is doing considering the size of stroke he had. She did put down that his diagnosis is "Cerebal Palsy" even though it is very minimal right now (I believe that it will continue to be very minimal). He does need to start another therapy, occupational therapy because he is keeping his right thumb in but hey, I count my blessings! I think Doctors do like to tell you the worst case and she did do this. She told me to expect for the right side of his face to start "sagging" and when he starts to crawl or walk to expect that he will "drag" his right leg and arm, etc. etc. etc. All these things and more to "expect". I know that these things are possible but I am not going to "expect" for them to happen. We will continue to do all his therapy and everything else we can for him and I know that the Lord will do the rest. I think that I took for granted all the milestones that babies hit- smiling, cooing, sitting up, crawling, walking, eating, etc.,until Carter. When Doctors tell you he might have problems with every one of these milestones...I am just so thrilled and think he is so amazing when he reaches them. Go Carter!
This is proof that he is moving....a few weeks ago I put him on this blanket, went and started the laundry and this is where he was when I got back.

Carter is so adorable. I can't believe he is that old! I'm so happy he is hitting all of his milestones. He looks like a happy kid.
Go Carter! I should talk to you about CP, as two of my kids were diagnosed with it (only one shows signs of it). He looks and acts SO normal that I bet he won't even show any signs... what a doll!
He is AMAZING! His Aunt Shaunee misses him terribly! All the crap you are going through with him reminds me of David and how much trouble he was suppose to have with each milestone. We would wait for him to have problems and then he would pass it just fine. I'm sure that when Carter is David's age you will look back and wonder, "What was I so worried for"? Keep your good attitude and your faith! LOVE YOU!
I'm so glad he is doing so great, he is absolutely adorable:)
Love that baby!!! He is so beautiful!!!!! Takes after his dad???
What a sweet sweet baby. Everytime I see his picture I just want to squeeze the little guy! I am proud of you and your good attitude and faith. All will be fine, I just know it!
Take Care,
JoLynn
