Camp Rocks!

So, what am I doing up at almost 2 in the morning?? Well, I think it is because the four nights I was at Girls Camp I did not go to bed until 4am! My schedule is a little off. SOME people (like the Asst. Camp Director pictured below) had the luxury of actually sleeping wherever and whenever they chose while others (myself included) tended to real camp needs.
I have always loved girls camp. As a teen It was a place where I could really feel the spirit and have fun all at the same time. I can remember coming home and being faced with temptation and really wishing I was back at Girls Camp where I felt strong. I hope the 211 girls that came to camp this year all felt the spirit and had fun! I hope they can remember how they felt at Camp and resolve to remain strong when faced with temptation. Camp was awesome- everyone did a great job, thank you!
I'm already looking forward to Camp 2010! :) Maybe next year my partner, the assistant Camp Director, can pick it up a little! :)

Thank you to my AWESOME husband for taking care of our boys while I was gone. The house was clean when I got home and the boys were happy- what more could I ask for??!!

WOW!!! That post totally made me want to go to girls camp! When I was a teen I didn't especially "Love" camp. However, I do remember feeling very spirtually fed but I just wasn't a camper. We actually camped in tents. I think if we maybe would have gone to Camp LaMia (not sure about that spelling) I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more. Now as an adult I got to go one year to girls camp at Camp LaMia and I really did enjoy it. It was a lot of fun and again very spiritual. I'm glad that you enjoyed it and I'm even glader (is that a word?) that you came home to a clean house with happy kiddos!

Take Care,
JoLynn

After THAT, I bet Cindy doesn't talk to you for a week! Even worse, won't let you use her pool:). Don't worry, you can still come here, at least for a little longer...

Have you gotten any phone calls about the positive preg test in the bathroom? or the 'how to give birth'? You REALLY know how to push the envelope, don't you? CRAZY!

Haha, how can Cindy sleep like that? It looks so uncomfortable. And I can't wait to hear about your camp stories in more detail next weekend.

Hmmmmmmmm, that wasn't exactly the story I got :) Wish I could have been there, but the beach helped me feel a little better. Next year! Holla!!!
